It is quite interesting watching how twitter has taken off. It is like the micro blog that anyone can do because it takes nothing more than a quick thought that may or may not be worth reading.
Many bloggers having had to create their own success by either facilitating interesting content or information that is at least more than a 100 characters now having more modes of media banned competition for their effort.
Now this phenomenon of social networking will be going down the route of “islands of social awareness” for each and every person the more they involve themselves with these systems.
There is no social hub solution (aggregating facebook, twitter, flicker, etc) into a single user interface (at least that I know of) but as we have seen applications like trillian come up because we all were crazy to have to use AOL, MSN & Yahoo I expect this to happen soon enough.
